DISCUSSION: Why did an Army Lieutenant have to use his cell phone to call his base to gain use of the Navy guns during the invasion of Grenada in the 80ís?

| 11/29/07 | usm | It is my understanding that the radios between the Army and Navy was not compatible. The radios were made by more than one company and the frequency were off just enough to prevent a good line of communication. It was later reported that this problem has been fixed by standardizing the signals. |
